I’ve been practicing yoga for many years and teaching for 22 years. However, in August of 2018 I was hit by a huge cement mixer truck in downtown St. Pete. I was parked, waiting to get a space closer to the primary voting center. My car was totaled. My insurance company sent me to St. Anthony’s Hospital to get a check up. The doctors discovered a blood clot in my left calf. Since then, I’ve been hesitant to teach classes. Finally just yesterday, I said “yes, I’ll teach for you,” to my fellow yogini, Jenny. That was only after I’d visited a specialist who didn’t find evidence of the blood clot. I’d had to take Eliquis for six months. HIs words: “Take it one more month and DO go teach yoga again.” So I did! I couldn’t be happier.
